Wow: Stock watcher argues that Facebook could bring entire global economy

This whole Facebook IPO fiasco is just getting more and more strange.. now regulators are set to review Morgan Stanley allegations
Allegations state that Morgan Stanley shared negative news with big investors right before Facebook went public… this news today after only days since Facebook was unveiled on the market—and the stock declined ferociously ever since.
But think of it this way: Facebook is virtual. It’s selling virtual reality. And in reality it’s selling you. So really, what market investor really wants to invest in you anyway?

-
I read the news today.. oh boy
The headlines and links to things that you may want to see, may not want to see.. and may be disgusted by seeing. Indeed, the earth is a mess. Here are some examples.
The silver lining is that you’re alive. And you can change it. Or at least try. Even the highest mountains can move if the earth quakes enough…
Just the facts:
- Half of Florida high school students fail reading test…
- Flesh-Eating Bacteria Consumes Man’s Penis…
- The long awaited Facebook IPO: No return today
- A pregnant woman was tasered by police three times during a traffic stop
- The student loan bubble builds and debt collectors are making upwards of $450,000 salaries a year. Think they feel good about that or just don’t care?
- 4,700 potential dangerous asteroid have been mapped near earth. That’s the good news.. The bad news is we only know of 30% of them..
- Man with six roasted fetuses arrested in Thailand…
- UK surveillance program could expose private lives…
- Surveillance .. not just the UK, but here in the US of A, too. Drones will moan in the skies.. will you look up and smile as it uncovers your every secret? Secrets that should stay secrets. Well, if you’ve got nothing to hide why care, right?
Wrong.
Care.
We have some very big questions to answer as we head down the path of surveillance. And love him or hate him, Matt Drudge had a Twitter ramble the other day that is worth quoting. He made some sense in the questions asked:
Question for The New Age: If one shoots down a fed/police drone while it’s invading one’s privacy, does that make one a terrorist?
Does ‘Homeland’ need warrant to fly drones over one’s backyard? Will new drones look into window? Follow one driving? Walking? NSA protected
Can media organization use drone for ‘news gathering’? Can citizen hire private ‘eye’ in personal dispute? Or only ‘Homeland’ can have fun?
Once had LAPD tell me ‘traffic’ cam could zoom up to zit on nose. Will new drones have same ability? Big Sis Reads Lips! Or will have mic?
Alas, no one would care on TWITTER, they’re all looking down. What drones?
How soon until Rahm unleashes armed drones in Chicagoland, like he did at White House in ‘terror’ war? And can one be put on ‘no spy’ list?
…I read the news today indeed.
Hope tomorrow will be better.
We know it won’t.See you all on the other side of the sunrise.
The sunrise.. ready to be eclipsed and shine a ring of fire.

For years we have seen reports that Facebook is actually making people lonely.. what if, instead, it is actually making us more anxious?

We’re here to take your liver: Facebook begins new organ donor ‘share status’..
No really.. Facebook users can now share as their status whether they are an organ donor or not. I don’t want to debate the pros and cons of organ donation or broadcasting it to the world on Facebook. But I did want an excuse to post a photo from one of my favorite movies, THE MEANING OF LIFE.. The scene with organ donations cannot be forgotten. Hope the folks who show up at your door for your liver don’t exist. If they do, they will be busy checking Facebook for their next patient.

Brooms are standing on their own again
I think it has something to do with gravity. Or the earth.
Or this: A fad!
And it happened before. Just Google it.
But that doesn’t mean I didn’t post a broom standing on my Facebook tonight. After all, it’s fun to hop on the Viral Bandwagon now and then.

Facebook is now public.. and revealed in their filing are the things they feel could kill their company.. interesting read

I think Facebook’s new ‘timeline’ feature is going to take the place of resumes in the future.
Which means lots of job openings will exist for people, perhaps, without a Facebook.

New Facebook suicide prevention initiative will allow friend to report 'troubling' posts
Have a bad day? Don’t talk about it on Facebook unless you want to have it interpreted as a Social network cry for coded help.

FACEBOOK TOLD TO CHANGE ITS PRIVACY SETTINGS Mark Zuckerberg admitted ‘high-profile mistakes’ ..
